The worst earthquake in Massachusetts history 260 years ago
It happened before, and it could happen again.

On November 18, 1755, Massachusetts experienced its largest recorded earthquake.
The earthquake occurred in the waters off Cape Ann, and was felt within seconds in Boston, and as far away as Nova Scotia, the Chesapeake Bay, and upstate New York, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
Seismologists have since estimated the quake to have been between 6.0 and 6.3 on the Richter scale, according to the Massachusetts Historical Society.
While there were no fatalities, the damage was extensive.
According to the USGS, approximately 100 chimneys and roofs collapsed, and over a thousand were damaged.
The worst damage occurred north of Boston, but the city was not unscathed.
A 1755 report in The Philadelphia Gazette described the quake’s impact on Boston:
“There was at first a rumbling noise like low thunder, which was immediately followed with such a violent shaking of the earth and buildings, as threw every into the greatest amazement, expecting every moment to be buried in the ruins of their houses. In a word, the instances of damage done to our houses and chimnies are so many, that it would be endless to recount them.”
The quake sent the grasshopper weathervane atop Faneuil Hall tumbling to the ground, according to the Massachusetts Historical Society.
An account of the earthquake, published in The Pennsylvania Gazette on December 4, 1755.
The earthquake struck at 4:30 in the morning, and the shaking lasted “near four minutes,” according to an entry John Adams, then 20, wrote in his diary that day.
The brief diary entry described the damage he witnessed.
“I was then at my Fathers in Braintree, and awoke out of my sleep in the midst of it,” he wrote. “The house seemed to rock and reel and crack as if it would fall in ruins about us. 7 Chimnies were shatter’d by it within one mile of my Fathers house.”
The shaking was so intense that the crew of one ship off the Boston coast became convinced the vessel had run aground, and did not learn about the earthquake until they reached land, according to the Massachusetts Historical Society.
In 1832, a writer for the Hampshire (Northampton) Gazette wrote about one woman’s memories from the quake upon her death.
“It was between 4 and 5 in the morning, and the moon shone brightly. She and the rest of the family were suddenly awaked from sleep by a noise like that of the trampling of many horses; the house trembled and the pewter rattled on the shelves. They all sprang out of bed, and the affrightted children clung to their parents. “I cannot help you dear children,” said the good mother, “we must look to God for help.”
The Cape Ann earthquake came just 17 days after an earthquake estimated to have been 8.5-9.0 on the Richter scale struck in Lisbon, Portugal, killing at least 60,000 and causing untold damage.
There was no shortage of people sure they knew the impretus for the Cape Ann earthquake.
According to many ministers in and around Boston, “God’s wrath had brought this earthquake upon Boston,” according to the Massachusetts Historical Society.
In “Verses Occasioned by the Earthquakes in the Month of November, 1755,” Jeremiah Newland, a Taunton resident who was active in religious activities in the Colony, wrote that the earthquake was a reminder of the importance of obedience to God.
“It is becaufe we broke thy Laws,
that thou didst shake the Earth.

O what a Day the Scriptures say,
the EARTHQUAKE doth foretell;
O turn to God; lest by his Rod,
he cast thee down to Hell.”
Boston Pastor Jonathan Mayhew warned in a sermon that the 1755 earthquakes in Massachusetts and Portugal were “judgments of heaven, at least as intimations of God’s righteous displeasure, and warnings from him.”
There were some, though, who attempted to put forth a scientific explanation for the earthquake.
Well, sort of.
In a lecture delivered just a week after the earthquake, Harvard mathematics professor John Winthrop said the quake was the result of a reaction between “vapors” and “the heat within the bowels of the earth.” But even Winthrop made sure to state that his scientific theory “does not in the least detract from the majesty … of God.”
It has been 260 years since the Cape Ann earthquake. Some experts, including Boston College seismologist John Ebel, think New England could be due for another significant quake.
In a recent Boston Globe report, Ebel said the New England region “can expect a 4 to 5 magnitude quake every decade, a 5 to 6 every century, and a magnitude 6 or above every thousand years.”
If the Cape Ann earthquake occurred today, “the City of Boston could sustain billions of dollars of earthquake damage, with many thousands injured or killed,” according to a 1997 study by the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Russian Horn Openly Discusses Nuclear War: Revelation 16

Russian Officials Openly Discuss Using Nukes to Win War – Expert Warns, ‘Nobody Is Going to Refuse Putin’s Orders’

06-06-2022

Dale Hurd

In one simulation of a full-scale nuclear war between Russia and NATO, casualties mounted at a rate of 10 million people per hour.

A Princeton University simulation estimated more than 90-million immediate casualties. Some studies have placed total casualties in the hundreds of millions.

Then there would be a nuclear winter for weeks or months or even years, when clouds of soot blocked sunlight, creating subfreezing temperatures which, along with high radiation levels, would lead to even more deaths.

What was once unthinkable is now regularly debated on Russian state TV: Using nuclear weapons against Ukraine, NATO, or even against U.S. territory.

On one program, Russian Parliament Member Alexei Zhuravlyov said it would only take four nuclear missiles to destroy both coasts on the United States.

“Four missiles and there’ll be nothing left, ” he said.

On another program, Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of Russia Today said that if Russia loses in Ukraine, a nuclear strike seems “probable.”

But is this just ‘theatre’ intended to scare the West? Would Vladimir Putin actually resort to nuclear weapons? Experts disagree. What is disturbing is that some say he would.

Rebekah Koffler, born in the Soviet Union and a former intelligence officer for the US government, is the author of Putin’s Playbook. She says Putin would “absolutely” use a nuclear weapon.

“This type of conflict is exactly the type of situation for which Putin, on his orders, the so-called nuclear warfare doctrine was developed that is called ‘escalate to de-escalate,'” Koffler said. “You are escalating by popping a nuke in a conventional conflict, in order to de-escalate the conflict. A tactical nuclear warhead could be detonated on the territory, in this case of Ukraine, in order to dislodge the opponent psychologically. If Russian intelligence services assess accurately or by mistake that the U.S. and NATO are about to intervene, Putin would preemptively activate that doctrine.”

Koffler says Putin believes he has the upper hand because of his large arsenal of tactical nuclear weapons, which usually are small nukes intended to destroy battlefield targets rather than whole regions.

“Russia holds the advantage in tactical nukes, a one to 10 ratio,” Koffler said. “We have 200, the Russians have 2,000. So this is exactly why he’s prepared to use that instrument if he has to.”

Some have speculated that if Putin orders a nuclear strike, his staff might disobey his order, triggering a coup. Koffler says that won’t happen.

“This is such Western and American-style thinking. Nobody is going to refuse Putin’s orders. Remember, we’re talking about the person (Putin) who has authorized multiple assassinations,” Koffler said.

While some experts say that Putin would never risk a nuclear war that could a

The International Atomic Energy Agency’s Board of Governors is expected to address Iran’s nuclear violations in a meeting in Vienna on Monday.

IAEA Director-General Rafael Grossi is expected to address Iran’s violations of its nonproliferation safeguards agreement, and the US, France, Great Britain and Germany plan to push for the Board of Governors to censure the Islamic Republic for refusing to provide answers about uranium traces found at undeclared sites.

Israel on Iran’s nuclear operations

Grossi met with Prime Minister Naftali Bennett in Jerusalem on Friday, days after the IAEA released a report stating that Iran has enough enriched uranium for a nuclear weapon and has not provided credible explanations for the IAEA’s findings of violations.

UK’s Boris Johnson wins confidence vote but suffers big rebellion

Bennett also released a Google Drive folder of documents soon after, showing that Iran stole IAEA documents in 2004 and 2005 in order to lie to the organization and cover up its nuclear activities. The documents come from the nuclear archive Israel smuggled out of Iran in 2018.

Bennett described to Grossi on Friday “the depth of the danger of Iran continuing to advance towards attaining a nuclear weapon while misleading the international community by using false information and lies.”

“The prime minister emphasized the urgent need to enlist the international community for action against Iran, using all means to stop it from attaining a nuclear weapon,” the Israeli readout of the meeting stated.

“Israel prefers the diplomatic route to rule out any possibility of Iran developing a nuclear weapon,” Bennett said, “but maintains the right to act against Iran to defend itself and stop its nuclear program, if the international community fails to do so within a relevant amount of time.”

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett

Bennett said he supports IAEA fulfilling its mission as a professional and independent body and said it is important for the Board of Governors to send Iran a sharp and clear message in its meeting.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said on Friday that “any political action by the United States and the three European countries in the agency (IAEA) will undoubtedly be met with a proportionate, effective and immediate response from Iran.”

China’s mission to international organizations in Vienna tweeted that it “opposes relevant countries’ moves to pressure Iran by pushing a resolution at the June [Board of Governors] of IAEA. The talks on restoration of JCPOA are at a crucial juncture. Confrontational approach…will only undermine cooperation [between Iran and the] IAEA and disrupt negotiation process.”

The Western powers had hesitated to promote resolutions against Iran at the IAEA in recent years, in order to continue negotiations to have the US and Iran return to the 2015 nuclear deal. The only time the IAEA Board of Governors approved a resolution condemning Iran since the 2015 nuclear deal was reached was in June 2020; Iran made concessions to the nuclear agency weeks later.

Benham Ben Taleblu, a fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, said that “while a resolution of censure against Tehran at the IAEA is long-overdue, [Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali] Khamenei is still hoping that Iranian nuclear escalation is sufficient to spook the international community from following through with actions beyond censure, such as Security Council referral, more sanctions, or abandoning JCPOA talks. The IAEA board members, and the US in particular, now have an opportunity to course-correct on Iran and prove Khamenei wrong.”

“The regime has never been forced to admit that its nuclear program isn’t a science fair project,” Ben Taleblu added. “While the IAEA bent over backwards in the past year and a half trying to give Iran every possible opportunity to signal that it can be a good-faith actor, the Islamic Republic has pocketed concessions, dodged censure, and avoided pressure for too long.”

What would Israel hope to see from any future deal?

Despite significant progress, talks to revive the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action were derailed after Russia invaded Ukraine. They remained on hold in recent months, in part due to Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid’s success in their effort to convince US President Joe Biden not to remove the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps from the State Department’s list of foreign terrorist organizations. US President Joe Biden informed Bennett of the decision a month ago, but it became public last week.

Israel has presented the Biden administration an alternative path forward in nuclear talks with Iran. The proposal entails a deal without the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action’s “sunset clauses,” which gradually lift restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program.

Under the newly-proposed Israeli plan, the Iranians would receive sanctions relief as stipulated in the 2015 deal, if they accept the new version without a sunset clause.

The plan would include a “tripwire” in the event that Iran would enrich uranium to 90 percent, the level needed for a nuclear weapon, after which the US would immediately impose even more sanctions on Iran than it has on Russia in the wake of the war in Ukraine.

National Security Adviser Eyal Hulata raised the idea in his meetings with his American counterpart Jake Sullivan in Washington DC last week.

The Prime Minister’s Office denied the proposal.

“The Iranians are weaker than they seem,” a senior Israeli defense official explained this week. “They are more vulnerable than they are made out to be.”

The Islamic Republic has been hit with countrywide riots in recent weeks over rising food prices. In addition, protests broke out in southwest Iran after a building collapsed there, killing 31 people. An emissary sent to the site by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was shouted down by local protestors.

Khamenei on Saturday blamed recent protests in Iran on foreign “enemies” seeking to overthrow the Islamic Republic and said the United States and its allies were waging a “psychological war” against Iran by accusing it of piracy for seizing two Greek ships after the United States confiscated Iranian oil from a tanker.

“Today, the enemies’ most important hope for striking a blow at the country is based on popular protests,” Khamenei said, referring to week-long protests over the collapse of a building in southwestern Iran last month that killed 37 people. “They hope to turn the people against the Islamic establishment and the Islamic Republic through psychological work, activities on the internet and cyberspace … and by spending money and recruiting mercenaries.”

“But the enemies’ calculation is as wrong as many earlier ones,” he said in a televised speech on the 33rd anniversary of the death of the leader of Iran’s 1979 Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC) General Nadeem Raza delivered keynote address during the seminar on “Regional Environment and Imperatives of Security” at the NUST Institute of Policy Studies (NIPS) in Islamabad.

Students, academics and distinguished experts from different parts of the Country participated.

Commenting on the regional security environment, the Chairman JCSC – who is also the Deputy Chairman of the National Command Authority (NCA) – reiterated the significance of Pakistan’s nuclear capability as the guarantor of deterrence and defense of the motherland.

The Chairman JCSC said, “Pakistan’s nuclear program enjoys across the board support of all political parties and the people of Pakistan. The NCA, with all its political and military leadership, stands firm for the strategic program.”

The Chairman asserted that national security is indivisible and assured that under no circumstances shall Pakistan allow a compromise on its nuclear program.

General Nadeem Raza said, “Pakistan is a confident and responsible nuclear power. It pursues the policy of full spectrum deterrence within the precincts of credible minimum deterrence. Our national security and safety architecture meets all national and international obligations and caters for all kinds of scenarios.”

The Chairman JCSC concluded, “As a norm in other nuclear-capable nations, unnecessary and unfounded views on the strategic program should be avoided. When necessary, NCA is the right forum to issue specific responses or views.”

Parchin: Why Was A Secret Iranian Facility Attacked (Nuclear Related)?

ByMaya Carlin

The Parchin Attack, Explained: Over the last few weeks, Iran’s state media reported that an engineer and employee were killed when an “unexplained incident” struck a major Iranian military and weapons development site east of Tehran. According to the state-run media outlet, an industrial accident was the cause of the two deaths in the complex.

The New York Times reported that undisclosed Iranian sources and a U.S. official with knowledge of the Parchin area attack disputed this claim. The sources reported that the factory was struck by quadcopter suicide drones. While no group immediately claimed responsibility for the drone attack, Israel has carried out similar operations in the region in the past. Additionally, a few days before the attack, Israel took credit for the assassination of an Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC) colonel.

Military Compound in Parchin

Located approximately 35 miles southeast of Tehran, Parchin is home to a sensitive military compound. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) had suspected that the IRGC had conducted tests of explosives triggers at this site in the past, which could be used in nuclear weapons. Although Iran’s regime frequently denies its nuclear ambitions exist, its sharp uptick in raw materials production in compliance with international safeguards and threatening rhetoric prove otherwise. The ongoing joint U.S.-Iranian nuclear negotiations recently halted in Vienna, and U.S. officials predict Iran’s nuclear breakout time is imminent.

Russia’s nuclear Poseidon: Revelation 16

Russia’s nuclear Poseidon—final part

Saturday, June 4th, 2022

CLINTON CANUL LUNA

The following, our dear readers of this column, I find to be of much interest, for the reason that, as I have mentioned before, the analysis is from an American who expresses what he knows publicly, not only to the Americans of the United States but also to the world, on the issues involving NATO, Russia and the People’s Republic of China. Here is the final part of Chris Sanders’ “BIO-BIDEN TIMELINE SINCE 1991 | RUSSIA’S POSEIDON NUCLEAR”, published on the American News Network’s YouTube page and dated May 6, 2022. It is as follows:

If you’ve lost somebody in your life, the United States government, right here is directly responsible for their war on injections. Now, I also heard from the injections too that they did three different types in some of these big injections. Type one, placebo. Type 2, the actual injection. Type 3 might have parts of medical, all this metal, and all this other stuff into it… Okay? 2016, the DTRA and Ukraine’s Health Ministry extended the contract after getting approval from the Ukrainian Defence Ministry. So, the Ukrainian Defence Ministry is actively participating in bioweapons research with the United States Department of Defense. I’m telling you this is wrong. This is a crime against humanity for the people that do, do it. You should be hung for crimes against humanity. How dare you? How dare you mess with the lives of innocent people because your little inventions could go out of whack and we could all wind up dead…

Now, remember, when he evacuated from Afghanistan, he gave the enemy the Taliban all of our war weaponry, all this war weaponry that’s going to be used all over there across the world. That is part of the main thing. I’ll go into other stories that are pretty important for America and our security here at home. As you know, he just visited Raytheon in Lockheed Martin and he wanted to say, “hey, thank you for your javelins. They’ve been so great and thank you for your stingers.” I’m going to tell you what the response was. You know what they said? They said, “Mister Biden, you’ve given away 33% of our javelins and you’re giving away 25% of our stingers and China’s cut us off from electronics and we can’t build these anymore. So, please stop giving them away. You might need them here at home.” Did you know that? And this jackwagon, he wants to give the other 50 percent, he wants to give all of our war weaponry away. I’m glad he visited Lockheed Martin and Raytheon and they told him, “look, stop it, and the fact that all of our information is public, like that exposes us, and the only one laughing is Putin, and I’m going to tell you about this war weapon so you understand how it works.

Since it’s nuclear-powered, it doesn’t have to be a torpedo anymore. Literally fired from a sub. I believe that the Soviet, excuse me, I believe that Russia has put 15 of these in the Northern Hemisphere and fifteen of these in the Southern Hemisphere. And they have the ability to move for years at a very slow, deep, altitude in the ocean. To where a sub can’t even go that deep. But when they want to attack, then they’re going to go 120 miles an hour. And let me tell you, in the water, that is super, super fast. And they’re going to go 120 miles an hour. A cobalt nuclear bomb’s going to happen. So again, where they’re going to hit America is with this: Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, and they’re going to hit us there hard because that jet stream will move across the United States. So, when they threatened Great Britain and Ireland, okay, I thought of us at home here and I was like, huh, and he was explaining how that jet stream would move it over. Because of that, then, there’s a scenario they show in New York. Mm. They’re not anticipating New York with this weapon, I don’t think. I think they’re always going to hit a place from the West Coast, but that also brings up Israel, okay? Israel, you have a West Coast too. They’re very easily going to give you a nuclear wave while Iran is given nuclear weapons.

Now, I’m going to explain to you what America’s doing and why, even if you’re an American, if we reverse this, what our government was doing, you’d be extremely pissed off. Let’s say Putin gave nuclear missiles to Mexico and Mexico really didn’t like us. Would that make you happy? No, it wouldn’t. It would remind us of like the Cuban situation with Kennedy. For those of you that are old enough to remember that, but that’s not many. So, it’s happening today and today, we have a nuclear threat… and that’s also I believe why we’re seeing all of this talk about Roe versus Wade now, because they’re trying to create as many smoke and mirrors as they can so that we’re not scared and we don’t think about the truth. This is the largest bomber in the world, folks. It can hold these 200 megaton bombs which our B2s don’t. Our nukes are much more small. So, this guy’s got more nuclear bombs than we do and more ways to deliver it. So, this is something that he’s going to be doing Europe, and it looks like a bigger B2 bomber. And these are flying in the air right now. Is he doing it because he’s not serious about it? I really don’t think so. And that’s pretty much the update for everybody here. God bless and hopefully, you know, hopefully I’ll see you soon

Resistance group Hamas has called for providing international protection to Palestinian children against Israeli “crimes”, Anadolu Agency reported.

“Israel is practising all types of crimes against Palestinian children, including killing, abduction, assassination, siege and house arrest,” Hamas said in a statement marking the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression.

The day is celebrated throughout to acknowledge the pain by children the world who are the victims of physical, mental and emotional damage.

“This day is a reminder of the plight and suffering of Palestinian children at home, in refugee camps and in diaspora,” Hamas said.

It cited that 88 Palestinian children were killed by Israeli forces since last year.

“Children held in Israeli prisons are subjected to psychological and physical abuse,” Hamas said, going on to call on the international community to intervene to release children from Israeli jails.

According to Palestinian estimates, there are 4,700 Palestinians in Israeli prisons, including 160 minors.
